This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use Pinboxd (the mobile app and related websites, APIs, and services, together the “Service”).
By using Pinboxd, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Our privacy principles
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your personal data for third-party advertising networks.
- We collect only what we need to run and improve Pinboxd.
- When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data within the timelines below, except where law requires retention or data is anonymized.
2. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to users of Pinboxd worldwide, including guests and registered accounts on iOS and Android.
Pinboxd is a product of Artevus Technologies (Private) Limited. Company-wide practices may also be described on artevus.com. Where this Pinboxd policy and a company policy differ for Pinboxd, this policy controls for Pinboxd.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide
Depending on how you use Pinboxd, you may provide:
- Account data: email address, username, password (stored hashed), display name
- Profile data: optional details such as bio/description, pronouns, avatar
- Auth via third parties: if you continue with Apple or Google, we receive the identifiers and profile fields those providers share with us for sign-in
- Shelf and activity content: pinned games, ratings, play status, play paths, notes/feedback you submit
- Shared clip context: URLs or share payloads you send into Pinboxd (for example YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram links) so we can resolve the related game
- Linked platform connections: if you connect Steam, PlayStation Network, Xbox, or similar integrations, connection status and library/metadata needed for that feature
- Support and feedback: messages you send to support or through in-app feedback
- Subscription status: whether you have Pinboxd Pro, plan type, and entitlement state (payment card details are handled by Apple, Google, and/or subscription partners such as RevenueCat; we do not store full card numbers)
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Device type, OS version, app version
- Approximate diagnostics: crash logs, performance metrics
- Usage events needed to operate features (for example pin created, path updated)
- IP address and basic log data for security and abuse prevention
- Push notification tokens if you enable notifications
3.3 Information we do not intentionally collect
- Full payment card numbers
- Biometric templates
- Precise continuous location, unless a future feature clearly asks and you grant permission
- Your device contacts, unless a future feature clearly asks and you grant permission
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and authenticate accounts
- Provide share-to-pin, shelf, paths, Discover, ratings, and related features
- Resolve shared clip links to game metadata
- Sync and display linked-library context when you connect platforms
- Process and restore Pinboxd Pro entitlements
- Send service notices and optional notifications you control in Settings
- Improve reliability, fix bugs, and understand feature usage
- Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms
We do not sell personal information.
5. Notifications
If enabled, Pinboxd may send notifications such as:
- Friend activity
- Path reminders
- Weekly digest
- Pro updates
- Product tips
You can change these in-app under Settings → Notifications, and at the device OS level.
7. Data retention
- Active accounts: retained while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service
- Inactive accounts: accounts inactive for 24 months may receive a deletion notice and later be deleted
- Deleted accounts: personal data is permanently removed from primary systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days, except anonymized aggregates or records we must keep for legal/accounting reasons
- Anonymized analytics: may be kept indefinitely because they no longer identify you
8. Account deletion and data export
Delete your account
- In-app: Settings → Account → Delete Account (or equivalent)
- Or email privacy@artevus.com from your registered email
Deletion deactivates access immediately. Personal data purge follows the timeline in Section 7. Deletion is permanent.
Export your data
Where available in Settings, you may request an export of pins, ratings, and profile details. You can also email privacy@artevus.com.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may have rights to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Port your data in a common format
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Opt out of marketing/product tips
- Appeal or lodge a complaint with a regulator
We do not sell personal information. To exercise rights, contact privacy@artevus.com. We aim to respond within 30 days, or sooner if law requires.
10. Children’s privacy
Pinboxd is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where required, such as parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under those ages. If you believe a child provided data, contact privacy@artevus.com and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as TLS in transit, restricted access controls, hashed passwords, and secure token storage on device where applicable. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
12. International transfers
Artevus operates globally. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required (for example EU/EEA transfers), we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
13. Store compliance
Pinboxd is designed to comply with Apple App Store and Google Play privacy requirements, including accurate App Privacy / Data Safety disclosures, Sign in with Apple rules where offered, and store billing rules for subscriptions.
15. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted with a new “Last updated” date, and may also be communicated in-app or by email when appropriate. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
